Our history

Our multidisciplinary team is composed of long-term friends and colleagues forged in 3-4 years of research on supporting neonatal comfort. We deeply understand the clinical importance of this project and the technical, business, and regulatory side of how to solve it, and where to find the missing pieces in the medtech community.

Also, our medical university's (Semmelweis University, Hungary) innovation culture is strong, professional, and highly supportive. Our other project home is HUN-REN SZTAKI, Budapest, Hungary, which institute is a key player in AI industrial applications.

Understanding the unmet need and urge to commercialize the technology, NICOWL Ltd. was founded in 2024Q3. We are in negotiations with these institutes to license the current state of the TRL 4-5 prototypes.
