Our history

Our multidisciplinary team is composed of long-term friends and colleagues forged in 4-5 years of research on supporting neonatal comfort, starting in 2019.

We deeply understand the clinical importance of this project, the technical, business, and regulatory aspects of solving it, and where to find the missing pieces in the medtech community.

Understanding the unmet need for sleep quality monitoring and the urge to commercialize the technology, NICOWL Ltd. was founded in the late summer of 2024.

Also, our medical university's (Semmelweis University, Hungary) innovation culture is strong, professional, and highly supportive. Our other project home is HUN-REN SZTAKI, Budapest, Hungary, which institute is a key player in AI industrial applications. We are in negotiations with these institutes to license the current state of the TRL 4-5 prototypes.

Our team has grown since our company by the end of 2024. We don't have our own office yet, but we are working to take off and expand as soon as possible!
